Quarterback who won the 1992 Walter Payton Award for best Division I-AA player while playing for Marshall University. He had a brief stint with the Dallas Cowboys, which was cut short by compartment syndrome.
He decided to attend Marshall after a campus visit, in which he fell in love with the people and the school.
He played one year of professional football, for the AFL's Florida Bobcats.
He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He passed away from cancer after 12 treatments for the disease.
He is one of Marshall's most successful football players, along with superstar Randy Moss.
