Michael Jung
Equestrian
Equestrian who won individual and team gold at the 2012 Olympic Games before winning individual gold and team silver in 2016. He is a member of the Eventing Rider Association Hall of Fame.
He took up horse riding at age 6. He won his first medal, a bronze, at the 2009 European Eventing Championships.
In 2016, he became just the second rider ever to win the Grand Slam of Eventing, which includes winning the Kentucky Three-Day Event, Badminton Horse Trials and Burghley Horse Trials.
His father is equestrian Joachim Jung.
He faced off against riders like William Fox-Pitt at the 2016 Olympic Games.
