Known for co-writing such works of young adult fiction as the popular Everworld and Animorphs series, he's also known for writing the BZRK and Gone books.
Gone, the first title in his bestselling Gone series, was published in 2008.
Between 2011 and 2013, he penned four novels in The Magnificent 12 series.
Born into a military family, he spent his childhood in many different American states, as well as in France. He later settled in Northern California with his wife and two children.
His Everworld and Animorphs series were written in collaboration with his wife and fellow author, K.A. Applegate.
