Paralympic swimmer who won gold medals at both Paralympic games she competed it, in 1996 and 2000.
She attended Exhall Grange School and the University of Birmingham.
After a successful swimming career she took up cycling, and won gold at the 2008 World Triathlon Championships.
She was born in Warwick, Warwichshire, England.
She belongs to a long list of gold-medalists from Great Britain that includes Sophie Christiansen.
