Jazz Singer
Widely popular 20th century singer known as The Velvet Fog. He is best remembered for co-writing The Christmas Song or Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire with Bob Wells.
He sang with the Coon-Sanders Orchestra at the age of four and was widely hailed as a child prodigy. He also acted in radio serials The Romance of Helen Trent and Jack Armstrong, the All-American Boy from 1933 until 1941.
He was the teen idol of his generation after he appeared in Good News, the 1947 film musical.
He was married several times: first to Candy Toxton on February 11, 1949, then Arlene Miles on October 31, 1956, then
