Legendary Japanese voice actress known for her work in acclaimed animated films like Castle in the Sky and in popular anime shows like One Piece, Dragon Ball, and Yu Yu Hakusho.
She made her acting debut in 1977 playing Ryoko Takagi in the series Gekiso! Ruben Kaiser.
She has leant her voice to dubbing several popular films including the An American Tail series, the Babe movies, and The Transformers: The Movie.
She was previously married to fellow voice actor Hiroyuki Shibamoto.
She starred in the 1986 Studio Ghibli film Castle in the Sky directed by legendary animator Hayao Miyazaki.
