Maxim Vengerov
Violinist
A Professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, as well as the winner of many competitions. He was the subject of the award-wining documentary Living the Dream.
He started playing violin when he was five and won the International Karol Lipiński and Henryk Wieniawski Young Violin Player Competition when he was ten years old.
He worked as UNICEF’s Envoy for Music, which is a program that brings music to children across the world.
He married Olga Gringolts in 2011.
He is a contemporary of Aleksey Igudesman, another violinist born in Russia.
