He was raised in Marlboro Township and made his acting debut in the 2004 film One Easy Job.
He was nominated for a Young Artist Award two years in a row in 2011-12, for The Pregnancy Pact and Parenthood respectively.
He was briefly engaged to Demi Lovato from July 2020 to September 2020. He also previously dated Veronica Dunne from 2014 to 2017 as well as Jennette McCurdy.
He co-starred with America Ferrera on Ugly Betty in 2008.
