Matthias Storme
Lawyer
Academic and philosopher who co-founded the European Law Institute in 2011. He also became known for the Doel Case in 1999.
He became acquainted with the Flemish nationlist group Katholiek Vlaams Hoogstudentenverbond and the Royal Flemish Law Society when he studied at the Catholic University of Leuven.
He was on the board of the think tank Centrum Pieter Gillis devoted to pluralism, which was associated with the University of Antwerp.
His father, Marcel Storme, was a university law professor who served in the Belgian Senate from 1977 until 1981.
He studied at the Max Planck Institute for International and Foreign Private Law.
