He appeared on the TV series Strike Force and went on to have roles on Stingray, The Beachcombers, and 21 Jump Street.
He was nominated for a Leo Award Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series for his role as Merlin on Stargate SG-1.
He was born in England, but relocated to Canada to cltivate his acting career.
In 2006, he appeared in Night at the Museum, which starred Ben Stiller.
