Second film in the Vacation film series in which the Griswald family wins a vacation tour across Europe where hi-jinks ensue. It is the only film in the Vacation series in which the last name of the family is spelled "Griswald" instead of "Griswold."
John Hughes was credited as a writer though he was not involved in the writing process. He received credit due to leftover material being used from the first Vacation movie. Amy Heckerling directed the movie.
