Dog Musher
Swiss sled dog musher who won the their Iditarod race four times from 1992 to 2002. In 2002, he posted the second-fastest time in Iditarod history with a mark of 8 days, 22 hours, 46 minutes, and 2 seconds.
He began his mushing career at age seventeen and moved to Alaska in the late 70's.
He won Rookie of the Year honors after completing his first Yukon Quest in 2009.
He has sons named Rohn and Nikolai with teacher Kathy Chapoton.
He and Gunnar Kaasen are both their European dog mushers.
