Mark Viduka

Australian forward who captained the national team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He was the NSL Top Goalscorer in 1994 and 1995 and was named Oceania Footballer of the Year in 2000.
He started his career in the crossover Melbourne Croatia club in 1993 in the National Soccer League.
He set a record amongst Australian players with four goals scored at the UEFA Champions League competition with Middlesbrough.
He had two sons with his wife Ivana.
Alistair Griffin wrote a song about him to the tune of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.
