Sierra Leone-American forward who began his MLS career with the Columbus Crew in 2006. After four years with Sporting Kansas City, he joined Middlesbrough in 2013. He became a member of the Sierra Leon national team in 2008.
He played college soccer at California State University Dominguez Hills.
He won the MLS Fair Play Award in 2007, which is given to the player with the lowest number of yellow cards and red cards.
His family fled to The Gambia for two years to escape the civil war in Sierra Leone and migrated to the United States in 2000.
He and Landon Donovan both played for the San Jose Earthquakes.
