Marino Marini
Sculptor
Italian sculptor who made equestrian and nude sculptures, including The Pilgrim, located at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
He studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence and then dedicated himself to sculpture.
His work was influenced by Etruscan art and the sculpture of Arturo Martini.
He married Mercedes Pedrazzini in 1938.
He and Edward Potter are both well known for their equestrian sculptures.
