Manuela d'Ávila

Brazilian politician and journalist who first gained famed as the youngest city councilor in the history of Porto Alegre. In 2014, she was elected state deputy, and was named the pre-candidate for the Communist Party for the 2018 presidential election.
She began her political career as a member of the student movement before joining the communist party.
She served as federal deputy from Rio Grande do Sul from 2007 to 2015.
She married her husband Duca in 2012, the two have one child together named Laura.
She is a fan of American actress Viola Davis.
