Manfred Schoof
Trumpet Player
Founder of the free jazz movement in Europe and member of the German musical rights association.
His music studies occurred in Kassel and Cologne.
He started teaching in Cologne in 1990.
He was born and raised in Magdeburg, Germany.
Both Schoof and Carla Bley are considered free jazz pioneers.
