Magnus Magnusson

Television presenter, writer and journalist who is most known for hosting the popular quiz program Mastermind.
He grew up in Edinburgh, where his father was the Icelandic counsel, and he attended the Edinburgh Academy where he was a part of the marching brass band.
Mastermind was the longest running quiz show from 1972 to 1997, and the popular catchphrase on that show was "I've started, so I'll finish."
He was married to Mamie Bird, and the two had a son named Siggi who died tragically in 1973.
He and Clive Anderson both hosted the quiz show Mastermind.
