Born in San Diego, California and raised in Seattle, Washington, he later relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. His Consider Me Dead band "family" consists of singers Chris Brewington and Brandon Pettitt.
He and his contemporary, Jared Monaco, both rose to fame as guitarists for Arizona-based bands.
