Known best for playing Chuy on the Fox sitcom The Bernie Mac Show, this actor and comedian also appeared in the TNT series Murder in the First and had a major role in the 2002 film P.S. Your Cat is Dead.
Before beginning his acting career, he served in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division.
Also a notable voice actor, he contributed to Nickelodeon's Rocket Power animated series and to the 2006 film Happy Feet.
A native of El Paso, Texas, he later lived and worked in Los Angeles, California. He married Terri Gutormson in 2009.
He appeared with Jeff Bridges in the 2001 movie Scenes of the Crime.
