He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Shandong College of Arts in 1995 and received a Master of Fine Arts from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2001.
He made an effigy of US President Barack Obama to celebrate his visit to China.
He was raised with family in China's Shandong province.
