Singer and guitarist who has earned acclaim for her indie rock solo project Snail Mail. Her debut LP, Lush (2018), received praise from music outlets like Pitchfork, Noisey and Rolling Stone.
She was raised in Ellicott City, Maryland and began playing guitar at age 5.
She received guitar lessons from Mary Timony of Helium, Autoclave and Wild Flag fame.
She has an older sister. Her mother has served as the owner of the lingerie store Bra-la-la.
She joined Angel Olsen onstage at Coachella 2018.
