Known for his soundtracks for such popular films as Coyote Ugly and Conspiracy Theory, this cinematic composer also had a career as a session bassist, recording with such prominent artists as Reba McEntire, Jackson Browne, and Phil Collins.
He was a student in the music program at California State University, Northridge.
Between 1973 and 1998, he contributed to five Linda Ronstadt albums.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he later settled in Southern California.
He recorded numerous albums with singer and songwriter James Taylor and also performed live with Taylor and Carole King during the 2010 Troubadour Reunion Tour.
