Best known for winning the 2007 Miss Korea pageant, this South Korean model also competed in Miss Universe 2008. Also a Peace Ambassador with the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), she briefly visited North Korea.
She succeeded model and television personality Lee Ha-nui as Miss Korea.
In preparation for the Miss Universe pageant, she trained with French fashion authority and Miss Universe Japan director Ines Ligron.
She grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and later studied at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City.
She and actress Kim Sa-rang both won the Miss Korea title (in 2007 and 2000, respectively).
