Lalitha Lenin
Poet
Indian, Malayalam-language poet known for Karingili, Namukku Praarthikkaam, and other works. Also an occasional television writer, she contributed to two Indian series entitled Mookkuthiyum Manchadiyum and Oridathorikkal.
She studied chemistry, library science, and education at the University of Kerala.
Her children's book, Minnu, received the 1986 Kerala Sahitya Academy Award.
She married K.M. Lenin and gave birth to a son named Anil.
She and author RK Narayan were both born in India.
