Rapper who is known for her solo and collaborative career in the American hip-hop music industry. In 1999, she released her debut album Skin Deep. It peaked at #127 on the Billboard 200 and received a Gold certification.
She had first attended cosmetology school, while working various odd jobs. She then graduated with a dual degree in political science and psychology from college.
In 2011, she made her acting debut in the film Dead Money. Since 2011, she has appeared in and co-produced comedic sketches with the comedian Paul Mooney.
On September 8, 2003, she married her then-boyfriend of three years Ginuwine. The two had four daughters together before divorcing in 2015.
As a rapper, she has collaborated with Tech N9ne on his 1999 single "Clueless."
