Award-winning country songwriter known for his collaborations with Travis Tritt, George Strait, and other country artists.
He began his career as a Montana-based country songwriter and singer. During the 1980s, music producer Tony Brown recognized his songwriting talent and launched his career.
He co-wrote 'Ain't That Lonely Yet,' a single that won singer Dwight Yoakam a 1994 Grammy Award.
Born Kostas Lazarides in Greece, he grew up primarily in Montana. His marriage to Hope Evangeline produced a daughter named Sofia.
"Timber, I'm Falling in Love," his first credit as a country songwriter, was a 1989 number one hit for singer Patty Loveless.
