Kim Roberts
Poet
American poet and writer whose best-known poetry collections include Animal Magnetism, The Kimnama, and The Wishbone Galaxy. She was the 2009 recipient of the Pearl Poetry Prize.
She graduated from Emerson College in Boston and went on to receive her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Arizona.
She published several plays, including I'll Give You Flowers and The Distressway.
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, she later settled in Washington, D.C., a city that inspired her 2010 poetry collection Full Moon On K Street: Poems About Washington, DC.
She organized a 2005 Washington, D.C. festival held in honor of Leaves of Grass poet Walt Whitman.
