Suman Pokhrel
Poet
Poet who became the then-only writer to receive the prestigious SAARC Literary Award twice. He was honored with the award in 2013 and 2015 for his contributions to art in South Asia.
He earned a bachelor's degree, law degree, and MBA from Tribhuvan University in Nepal.
He published his first ever play Yajnaseni in 2016. He translated William Shakespeare's play The Tempest into nepali, and had it published by Nepal Academy in 2018.
His parents' names are Bhakta and Mukunda. He has two children with his wife Goma.
He has translated the works of various fellow poets, including Nazim Hikmet.
