He obtained a B.S. in marketing, in 1989 and an M.B.A., in 1994 before running several small businesses.
He opened his first business, a deli, at the age of 19, after winning a few thousand dollars from a lottery ticket.
He has two children with his wife Judy.
He served in Congress with Tom McClintock.
