Jazz bass player. He recorded numerous albums with saxophonist Steve Lacy and also performed with the Jazz Composers' Orchestra.
He recorded his first album with Steve Lacy, Journey without End, in 1971.
He played lead bass on a 1996 album called The Juillaguet Collection.
He was born in Hanover, New Hampshire. His grandfather, Rockwell Kent, was a notable visual artist.
He performed with Paul Bley on a 1994 album entitled Touching.
