Kathleen Wynne

Canadian politician who became the 25th Premier of Ontario in 2013. She is the first premier in Canada to be openly gay as well as the first female premier of Ontario.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Queen's University and a Master of Arts degree in linguistics from the University of Toronto.
She previously served her country as its Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and Aboriginal Affairs.
After being married to Phil Cowperthwaite from 1977 to 1990, she entered a domestic partnership with Jane Rounthwaite, who she married in 2005.
She succeeded Dalton McGuinty as the Premier of Ontario.
