American writer, publisher, editor and educator. Her works include poetry collections and the novels O, Democracy! (2014), Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk (2017), and Cher Ami and Major Whittlesey (2020).
She earned a BA from the George Washington University and a MFA in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College.
She co-founded Rose Metal Press, an independent not-for-profit publishing house with Abigail Beckel in 2006. She has 5,000 Twitter followers.
She married Martin Seay, who is a writer as well.
Her reviews and criticism have appeared in The New York Times Magazine and Allure, among other publications. She is a Senior Professional Lecturer at DePaul University.
