Jane Hawking

Author and educator who is best known as the first wife of Stephen Hawking. She wrote Music to Move the Stars: A Life with Stephen and Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen.
She was born Beryl Jane Wilde. She studied languages and obtained a PhD in Romance languages from Westfield College.
Her second husband was friend and musician Jonathan Jones.
She was married to Stephen from 1965 to 1995 which includes 5 years of separation while still married. She had 3 children with Stephen named Robert, Lucy and Tim.
Felicity Jones received an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Jane in the 2014 film The Theory of Everything, adapted from Jane's memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen.
