Perhaps most their for her starring role in the 2011 film Sunny, this popular actress also played major roles in a number of South Korean television series, including Doctor Stranger, Ugly Alert, and Dream High 2. She received a 2011 Buil Film Award, a 2013 SBS Drama Award, and numerous other honors.
She studied film and theater at Dongguk University and went on to make her screen debut in the horror film 4th Period Mystery.
She performed in music videos by such popular singers as Huh Gak and Hong Kyung-min.
She was born in Seoul, South Korea's Gangdong District.
She was paired with pop vocalist Leeteuk (of Super Junior) in a Korean reality television series called We Got Married.
