Professional infielder and outfielder that was signed by the Texas Rangers as an international free agent in 2009. He was acquired by the San Diego Padres via trade in December 2019.
As a child, he played in Little League World Series championship games in 2004 and 2005 as a member of Curaçao's team. He and his team won the championship in 2004.
He made his major league debut playing against the Cleveland Indians on September 2, 2012 as a member of the Rangers.
His younger brother, Juremi, was also signed by Rangers as an international free agent in 2012.
His first career major league hit was a solo home run facing Zach McAllister.
