Former MLB catcher for the Oakland Athletics, Cleveland Indians, Seattle Mariners, and Milwaukee Brewers. He helped the Athletics win back-to-back World Series Championships in 1973 and 1974.
He made his MLB debut with the Cleveland Indians in 1967.
He played in the MLB All-Star game in 1970 and 1971.
His parents raised him in Illinois.
At the 1970 All-Star Game, he collided with Pete Rose at home plate during the last play of the game.
