Mixed martial artist who joined the UFC in 2014 to be a part of its newly-created strawweight division. Her first fight with the promotion was against eventual strawweight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk.
She made her professional fighting debut in 2010. After going undefeated in five fights in her native Brazil, she made her US debut in Invicta FC.
She was originally scheduled to be a part of The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned, but due to her inability to speak English, was simply offered a UFC contract instead.
She grew up in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
She was scheduled to fight Jessica Penne in 2015, but fought Ericka Almeida instead after Penne pulled out of the fight.
