Jonty Rhodes

South African cricketer who represented the country in Test and ODI play from 1992 to 2003. In 2004, he was ranked 29th on SABC3's "Great South Africans" television series' list of the Top 100 Great South Africans.
He was born in the city of Pietermaritzburg and played for the University of Natal from 1988 to 1992.
Remarkably, he was also chosen to play hockey for the South African national team at the 1992 Olympic Games.
He married Kate McCarthy 1994. The two divorced in 2013 following a lengthy separation.
He and Nicky Boje both represented South Africa at the 1999 Cricket World Cup.
