John Pescoran
Painter
Famous for his hypermodernist, surrealist, cartoon, pop art, and neo-expressionist works, Pescoran created paintings, sculptures, and music and video-based pieces. His best known works include Dance of the Dead, Mind's Eye Path, and the Neologic Spasm series.
He attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he trained as both an illustrator and a graphic designer.
His exhibitions include "Egglexic Galaxy" (2011) and "HellaPigeons" (2012).
Though he was born in Lima, Peru, he spent the majority of his childhood in Hayward, California, U.S.A.
He and Brazilian-American artist Romero Britto both created works of pop art.
