Professional pitcher drafted by the Baltimore Orioles during in the 11th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. During the 2019 season, he was selected to the MLB All-Star Game as a rookie.
Prior to playing baseball at West Virginia University, he attended Fort Scott Community College for his freshman year of college.
On May 5, 2021, he threw a no-hitter against the Seattle Mariners, which was the first no-hitter thrown by an Orioles' pitcher since Jim Palmer in 1969.
He married former MLS soccer player Caroline Stanley.
He has pitched for the Orioles' organization for multiple years, just like Jake Arrieta.
