He has interviewed several intheir criminals such as Ted Bundy, Gacy, and Charles Manson.
He was born in Brooklyn and studied his undergrad at Eastern New Mexico University.
Thomas Harris, author of the Hannibal series, used him as a model for his major character Jack Crawford in a couple of his books.
