Author and media strategist who became American Apparel's Director of Marketing. His books have set out to determine that classic advertising is outdated and that growth hacking is the wave of the future.
He briefly studied at the University of California, Riverside, before dropping out to work as a marketing and media strategist for authors Tucker Max and Robert Greene.
His 2012 book, Trust Me, I'm Lying: Confessions of a Media Manipulator, earned a spot on the Wall Street Journal's bestseller list. He released the book The Obstacle Is the Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials into Triumph in 2014.
He was born in Riverside, California.
He and journalist Rex Reed both wrote columns for the New York Observer.
