Film and television director, as well as occasional producer, screenwriter, actor and editor, that was better known for his work in television comedy before directing many Marvel Cinematic Universe films. These movies included Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.
He majored in English and writing at the University of Iowa. He was a graduate student at Case Western Reserve University.
He won an Emmy Award for his work on the TV series Arrested Development, and also directed episodes of NBC's Community and ABC's Happy Endings.
He worked as a team with his brother Anthony Russo. Their parents are Patricia and Basil Russo, an attorney and former judge. He has a daughter named Ava Russo who appeared in Avengers: Endgame.
He and Anthony directed Owen Wilson in You, Me and Dupree.
