Painter associated with the second generation of the Bay Area Figurative Movement.
She graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute, where she studied with Elmer Bischoff. She had her first exhibition at the Whitney Museum in New York at the age of 22.
Her figurative paintings combined personal symbols with bright colors and cartoon-like drawings.
She was married to sculptor Manuel Neri for four years.
She was a follower of Sathya Baba and undertook many pilgrimages to his ashram in Puttaparthi, India.
