Malaysian fashion designer who founded Jimmy Choo Ltd., which is known for its selection of handmade women's shoes.
He made shoes for the first time when he was 11 years old and attended Cordwainers Technical College in Hackney, England.
He has won numerous awards including the 2011 Design for Asia Award in the World's Outstanding Chinese Designer category.
He married Rebecca Choo. His son Danny Choo became a popular blogger.
He founded Jimmy Choo Ltd with British Vogue magazine editor Tamara Mellon in 1996.
