Jerry Harris
Sculptor
African-American abstract sculptor, collagist and writer known for being a constructivist sculptor. He was elected into The Associated Artists of Pittsburgh.
He studied at the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama and San Francisco State University.
He works primarily with wood, stone, bronze, fiberglass, clay, metal and mixed media.
His wife Britt-Marie Olofsson-Harris died in 1996.
He and Ralph Ellison both attended the Tuskegee Institute.
