Professional forward that was drafted by the New York Knicks as the 58th overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft. During his time at the University of Texas, he was a two-time All-Big 12 Honorable Mention and a Big 12 conference champion in 2021.
He attended Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, where he was a four-star recruit. He left his school's program with 2,005 career points, which ranks first in his school's record books.
Of the three years that he played basketball at Texas, he finished second on the team in blocks all three years consecutively.
He is the son of Charles and Kimberly Sims. He grew up in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area with his parents and his five siblings. His father, Charles, played basketball at the University of Minnesota.
He was coached by Shaka Smart at the University of Texas during the 2020-21 NCAA season.
