Weight lifter who broke the American record in the Women's 75kg category in the 2016 Summer Olympics. She finished sixth in her first Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
She began weightlifting in October 2009 as a way to improve her track and softball skills.
She earned one of the highest rankings of any American at the 2015 senior-level World Championships.
She was the fifth born of eight children in Gainesville, Georgia.
She and Zoe Smith both broke Olympic records in weightlifting.
