He studied dance at the Hanlim Multi Arts School. He also attended LP Dance Academy.
His nickname is Angry Bird. His group ENHYPEN was formed in 2020.
He was born in Edmonds, Washington as an only child. His father is the CEO of Sinar Tours.
He auditioned for I-LAND with the NCT song "The 7th Sense."
